About our finance

James Hull Associates introduced Dental Loans into its practices some 5 years ago in order to provide patients with affordable treatments.

The Dental Loan was an instant success and proved to be a simple way for patients to spread the cost of their dental care over extended periods with no interest to pay at all.

How the account works

  • The cost of initial treatment is divided over the agreed term, to give you your monthly repayments.
  • The first installment will be due a month after your treatment starts – we will tell you the exact date when we send you a welcome letter advising you of your credit limit, should you ever need to use the account again in the future.
  • You can spend up to your credit limit, so once you have started to reduce your account, your credit limit is available to be re-used, on a revolving basis.
  • So if you do need further treatment, this will simply be added to the outstanding balance on your account, and the repayments will be re-calculated on the new, total value. The revised equal payments will continue, until your balance reaches zero, or you have further treatment. So it’s really easy to plan your treatments if you are on a budget.
  • The minimum payment each month is £40 and no interest will be charged, so long as you continue to make your payments on time.
  • We will send you a monthly statement, keeping you up-to-date on your treatment bills and payments made.

Open an account today

Simply ask at the Dental Reception about opening a loan account today and they will take down your details. Clode Retail Finance can approve your application over the phone, giving you a credit limit immediately. All CRF need from you are two forms of identification for security reasons, such as a credit card, driving licence or a recent utility bill. After you receive your welcome letter from CRF you are free to use your account whenever you want to receive treatment.

How to make repayments

The simplest and easiest way to make your repayments is via Direct Debit. Alternatively you have flexibility to pay in other ways, for example by cheque, debit or credit card.

Instant credit

Once your application has been approved, you will have access to instant credit, enabling you to arrange your treatment straight away.

Other family members can use your account

The principal account holder can nominate other family members to be able to use your account by simply supplying us with their details. You can do this by calling 08701 608 806. It’s very simple. Once set up, additional account members may use the account to pay for treatment, although they cannot alter any existing arrangements made by you, the principal account holder.

Increasing your credit limit

Should the need arise, this is easy too – just telephone 08701 608 806 and ask if your limit can be raised. If you have good conduct on the account for a long period, then we should be able to increase your credit immediately.

If you are unable to work or lose your job

Your repayments still need to be made, even if you are ill. Don’t worry though – you can protect your payments in the event of illness, unemployment or even death. For only 75p per £100 of the outstanding balance on your account per month, you can have peace of mind for yourself and your family.

To qualify for the cover, you must be aged between 18 and 65 years old, and be permanently employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week.

If you get declined

In the unlikely event that we are unable to approve your application, they are prevented from informing you of the reason over the telephone, by the Data Protection Act.

Unfortunately we can only offer you a response in writing. In these circumstances please write to us at the address shown opposite, stating your name and the name of our clinic/hospital (where you applied for the account).
