Jan qualified in 1995 from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He passed his final year “with distinction” and received several awards, including best clinical skills for that graduation year.

From July 1995 until January 2002, Jan worked in private practice in Essex, and finally the West End of London. Jan returned to South Africa in 2002, to complete a four year post-graduate degree in “Prosthodontics”. In 2006 he was invited onto the specialist register in Prosthodontics in South Africa. His field of expertise includes implant dentistry, crown and bridgework, tooth coloured restorations and veneers, aesthetic dentistry, root canal treatments and dentures. He also gained valuable experience in tempo-mandibular joint and occlusal problems and also in the management of facial and oral cancer patients. His masters thesis was published in 2008 in the International Journal of Prosthodontics.

Patients seen at our practice have responded very positively to his fresh and detailed approach to conservative dentistry. Jan’s motto is to treat all patients to an exceptionally high standard and listen to the individual needs and expectations of each patient.
