Our general dentists

What makes James Hull Associates stand out amongst its competitors is the unique combination of business acumen and professional standards. The brand image of the company is stamped on each practice – the distinctive dècor, the smart matching uniforms and the latest equipment – all surgeries are fully computerised, too.

No detail is overlooked to safeguard the integrity of the brand, whilst providing exceptional, individual care to its increasingly discerning patients. James Hull’s flagship dental surgery, in Soho, was the first fully digitalised practice in Britain and set the standard for all future surgeries.

Simply, James Hull Associates is an inspired and progressive company which listens to its customers and provides them with what they want – profitably.

The right environment for dentists and patients

Each James Hull surgery is modern and very well equipped. Great effort has been made to create a stress-free atmosphere. Waiting areas are furnished with comfortable chairs and televisions. The latest magazines are on display together with information about the current dental care options in the practice and at the Specialist Referral Centres. Soothing music is also piped into the waiting room. Staff are all trained to reduce the anxiety which many patients feel when they visit the dentist. In fact, everything possible has been done to ensure the complete relaxation of the patient, at the same time creating a pleasant working environment for the dentist. Our cross infection control is of the highest standards and includes the use of electronically controlled sterilisers, which are routinely monitored for accuracy.

The Company has always invested in the latest and most advanced technology where possible. This policy extends from dental chairs, through patient monitors, to advanced music systems, computers and IT. The dental equipment at the disposal of a surgeon regularly includes fibre optics, intra oral cameras, digitalised radiography (computerised patient records), pre-programmed mixing machines and individual sterilizers, to mention but a few.

At our Specialist Centres, microscopes, advanced surgical equipment and lasers are regularly used.
In short, the group is capable of providing for all aspects of dental care that may arise.

Dedication to patients’ welfare

The key to the company’s success is its ability to attract and retain enthusiastic general practitioners, dedicated specialists, hygienists, practice managers, nurses and receptionists. This is achieved by the company’s delivery of first-class conditions and minimal administration. Such an enticing proposition has proved a winning formula.

Cuts in the National Health Service subsidies have made it harder for the independent dentist to earn a good living and invest in new equipment. In addition, increased bureaucracy has put a greater demand on the dentist’s time. James Hull’s solution not only provides a better standard of living and working environment for its dentists, it also allows them to fully concentrate on their patients’ dental welfare.

Support services

Oral Hygiene Innovations Ltd., was born out of the demands of James Hull’s patients, eager to purchase a variety of dental products which were not readily available in the High Street. Customised display units were introduced to each surgery and stocked with selected goods, purchased in bulk and sold on at a profit. Now the company has the satisfaction of profitably providing its customers with the products they want at competitive prices.

Hygienist services

Each and every practice has a fully qualified dental hygienist dedicated to the improvement of oral hygiene and oral ‘well being’. Our hygienists work closely with the dentists and specialists to provide patients with any hygiene treatment that is prescribed as part of their overall treatment plan.

The future of dentistry & James Hull Associates

More and more dental practices will consolidate and become part of a corporate body, and new corporately themed companies will emerge, taking the profession to a new dimension. Calm and welcoming surroundings, state-of-the-art equipment, treatment by dedicated practitioners, general and specialist will encourage more and more people to visit these dentists, secure in the knowledge that the experience will no longer be a painful and unpleasant one. Our in-house Specialists at the Eastman ICED Private Practice, and the Specialist Referral Centres in every region, remove the need to refer complex treatments outside the group.

James Hull Associates is amongst the leaders in transforming dentistry in the UK today. The company is committed to a path of expansion, bringing its fresh and dynamic approach to all parts of the British Isles, Europe and the Middle East. Each practice will exhibit the company’s tried and tested branding concept and provide the accepted first-class service.

Staff training

Our focused and loyal dental team undergo an induction and training programme which has evolved over many years. This ensures continuity of quality, attention to detail, correct attitudes and therefore patient satisfaction.

Study days are held every three months where guest speakers are invited to speak on topical issues.

Blueprint for success

The group strives to improve itself, and to this end the company has a commitment to securing

  • Patient satisfaction and awareness, by regular networking.
  • Continuing post-graduate education for Dentists and Hygienists.
  • Regular updates on new techniques for all staff.
  • Management courses for Regional and Practice Managers.
  • Peer review and audit for Clinical Staff.
  • Further investment in information technology.

Dental Surgeons are especially encouraged to pursue post-graduate courses and to this end the company arranges quarterly all day seminars. Guest speakers are invited to talk on topical issues, whether clinical or managerial. All surgeons subscribe to our in-house peer and audit review, to ensure a standardised quality of care, a procedure patients greatly appreciate. Surgeons are also encouraged to work with the specialists.
