We welcome you to  which was established by Mr Mills in 1981. In July 2007 we became a part of the James Hull Associates Group. Since 1990 the practice has been entirely private and focuses on high quality private care. The caring team is headed by Dr Jeff Mills, Practice Manager Anne Mills and Hygienist Sue Strike. Mr Mills is dedicated to ongoing post graduate education so he can offer his patients the most up to date dental and facial treatments and materials.

We have been a long established centre for treatments of a more specialist nature. For many years, dentists both locally and throughout the South West, have referred patients to Mr Mills so they can benefit from the various treatments available. Mr Mills can take referrals for Implants, Advanced Dental Cosmetics and Restorations, Endodontics (Root Canal Treatments) and Periodontal Conditions (Gum Disease treatment), Oral Surgery and Sedation.

Our staff are committedto providing education and information and we aim to make your visitsto the practice a relaxed and anxiety-free experience.

Travel information

By car

The practice is situation on the main road (B3233) in the village of Fremington which is three miles west of Barnstaple in N. Devon. The M5 motorway (exit 27) is a 45 minute drive away. There is a train station at Barnstaple with a taxi rank outside. The practice is also on the local bus route which connects in both directions to Barnstaple and Bideford. Situated in a large detached 1930’s house, the practice is also surrounded by a large well kept garden complete with its own wild rabbits. It is on the corner of the main road and side road leading to the church. Directly opposite is the supermarket and chemist. Access to our large onsite car park is via the side road.

Arriving from M5 and Tiverton

Approaching Barnstaple along the A361, at the roundabout take the first exit and turn onto the A39 to Bideford and Bude. At the next roundabout take the second exit and continue on the A39. Cross the River Taw and at the next roundabout take the first exit to Bideford and Bude. At the Roundswell roundabout take the fourth exit onto the B3233. At the next two roundabout which come in quick succession, take the second exit each time. Sainsburys’s Supermarket is on the right. At the roundabout at the top of the hill by the Cedars Inn, take the first exist which is signposted to Fremington. On entering Fremington pass the Han Court Chinese restaurant on the right and continue on up the hill. At the top of the hill turn right by the small war memorial (supermarket in on left) and then turn left immediately into practice car park.  

Arriving from Bude & North Cornwall

When approaching along A39 following signs to Barnstaple. Cross the River Torridge at Bideford and at the end of the bridge immediately turn left onto A386 which is sign posted to Torrington and Okehampton. At roundabout below bridge take second exit onto B3233 to Instow. Stay on B3233 for next 4 miles until your reach Fremington. On entering village, practice is on left hand side and adjacent to only thatched cottage on main road. Pass thatched cottage and turn next left (after 30 yards). Immediately turn left again into practice car park.

Arriving from Crediton & Exeter

Arriving from Crediton and Exeter along the A377, at the roundabout take the first exit onto the A39 towards Bude and Bideford. Cross River Taw and follow directions as if arriving from M5 & Tiverton.
