Mrs V, Connaught Street Practice, London
I really never thought very much about improving my teeth. When one looks in the mirror in the morning, one can see one’s face etc., but one does not see teeth, a smile etc., in the same way that others do.
It was really my husband’s idea – he had said a couple of times that maybe I should look at improving the look of my teeth – never in a way that I took offence – but as a matter of discussion as he knows that I have regular facials, experiment with, and use good facial creams etc.
I am a very thorough person, so I asked Dr Pullen all the questions that I thought I needed to know – how long it would take, how many visits, potential pain, would there be an anaesthetic, would I be 'out of commission’ for any length of time. The more I knew about what to expect, the less daunting it seemed.
I was treated with great care, and the procedure was uneventful. They gave me something akin to an anaesthetic, and before I knew it, the procedure was done.
When someone has cosmetic surgery done, for example, that person may encounter others that they have not seen for a while. Those people know something is different but are not sure how to go about commenting, complimenting, or asking about what, if anything has been done. At least, I have that way.
In this case, I knew that when I smiled I looked better and in fact my friends did ask me if I had had something done with my teeth and that they looked great. I could also certainly see the results myself in photos. I did not feel embarrassed if a friend said something, and yet, I might if it was a cosmetic procedure they were commenting about.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending that one explores the possibility of this procedure, and how it might enhance their appearance.
