James Hull Associates Dentist Re-elected As Vice Dean at FGDP UK

Dr Trevor Ferguson of the North Wales Dental Clinic & Implant Centre has been re-elected as Vice Dean of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) at the Royal College of Surgeons by the Faculty Board.

FGDP aims to promote excellence in the standard of patient care in general dental practice by encouraging involvement in postgraduate training and assessment, education and research.

Speaking of his re-election, Dr Ferguson said, “It is a huge honour to have been elected for this role once again. It shows that my colleagues put their trust in me.”

Dr Ferguson will continue supporting and advising the Dean at the FGDP UK. The role requires him to attend committee meetings and develop education policy, examinations and assessment for general dental practitioners in the UK. The FGDP UK is currently working on developing joint examinations with other faculties and colleges.

Dr Ferguson is a respected member of the dental community and has a string of qualifications to his name including a Diploma in General Dental Practice (DGDP) and a Diploma in Implant Dentistry (DipImpDent) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 1998 he was elected a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard International Academy of Dentistry, entry to which is by nomination only. Trevor is a past examiner for the DGDP, part-time lecturer at the University of Liverpool Dental School and trainer in General Dental Practice for the University of Wales.

Trevor is committed to providing his patients with the highest standards in diagnosis, planning and treatment. He continues his ongoing training with recent visits to world symposia in New York, Zurich, Monaco, and Barcelona. In 2008 he was invited by Astra Tech to attend their recent world conference in Washington.
