Dental practitioners toast excellence at James Hull Associates Clinical Meeting
June, 2011Leading experts from Europe and the US, spoke at the JHA Clinical Conference in London in June, covering a range of clinical and management issues including single tooth implants, endodontics, restorative treatment and the challenges of change facing dental practices. With two parallel sessions running throughout the day, there was the opportunity for clinicians and other members of the dental practice team to attend a number of presentations and discussions of interest to
Among the clinical highlights Dr Richard Lee, offered “Ten Top Tips to Achieve Beautiful Composites” discussing the techniques, materials and instrumentation he uses, for diastema closures, composite veneers or that large class IV.
Anil Shrestha spoke about “Strategies for Delivering Quality Restorative Dental Care” - an integral part of the ethos at JHA while Dr Rainer Urdaneta from Boston, MA., presented some of his clinical experience with Bicon’s short implants and his latest research in crestal bone gain and survival of ultrashort locking taper implants. JHA clinicians Andrew Hyatt and Rebecca Wilson were among those leading discussions on a range of topics including, Developing Occlusion, Endodontic Treatment, Restorative Care and Composites. Dermot McNulty and Trevor Ferguson, members of the Clinical Board of James Hull Associates were also present .
On the non clinical issues facing dentistry, Dr Simon Hocken, of Breathe Business discussed the challenges ahead and share his top strategies for “Riding the Avalanche” while
Alan Cohen examined the ten most common problems encountered by DPL members and how to reduce that risk.
The new CEO of James Hull Associates, Bryan Magrath was one of many distinguished guests at the event which began with a champagne reception and dinner. Stephen Hancocks OBE, editor of the BDJ took centre stage with an amusing and informative speech
